Patient G, arthritis
Our bodies need a little help to repair themselves. I am fully trained to degree level and you can have the assurance that I am a British Acupuncture Council member. I diagnose using traditional Five Element Chinese theory and treat using acupuncture, with nourishing moxa herb burning for building white blood cells, and gua sha, which is good for releasing toxins and tight muscles. Treatments available in Hitchin, Herts, in partnership with Hitchin Osteopathy.
I highly recommend Helen, she is professional, friendly & very knowledgeable.
I didn't feel any pain at all. Needles were placed around my, wrist, chest & abdomen and ankles & a few minutes later I felt warmth in those areas. I was nervous about needles in the abdomen but I felt no pain or tickling! A moxa herb was lit on areas around my chest & it was warm & comfortable. I did not feel her take any needles out at all! I was so relaxed!
Helen explains everything she is going to do and talks through the reasons why. I suffer with arthritis in one foot and have struggled to walk for long periods of time and stopped running because of the pain.
The acupuncture has eased the pain considerably and I am now back running regularly and enjoying walking again.
NOW AVAILABLE Korean Hand Therapy for EASY ACCESS, SEATED 30-minute £30 treatments. Suitable for the elderly and anxious patients.
Plus Korean Auricular Therapy is another simple option for patients battling addictions, detoxing, or needing support with weight loss, or mental health. Helen has completed advanced training with the renowned Korean practitioner of acupuncture and moxibustion Jong Baik.
These microsystems of acupuncture meridians in the hands (KHT), and in the outer shell of the ears (Auricular), can be accessed with: moxibustion (burning adhesive cones on the points, or warming with a small stick of moxa herb); placing of pressure plasters containing discs, seeds or magnets on points; acupressure using a probe or hand roller; or plasters containing a tiny, almost pain-free, press needle on the relevant points.
Please use the Contact button on this page to enquire. NB All patients are required to book the longer first diagnostic consultation in order for Helen to assess the suitability of treatment options.
